On 27th March – World Theatre Day – the 5th volume of the collection “Portuguese Theatre Biographies” by Paula Gomes Magalhães was launched at the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II. The work, presented by Filipe La Féria, is on António de Sousa Bastos (1844-1911), a name best known as a historian and memoirist, author of reference works such as the Dicionário do Teatro Português and the Carteira do Artista. Besides this invaluable legacy, however, there was a lifetime dedicated to theatre that Paula Gomes Magalhães introduces us to in this biography, the result of her painstaking research.
