Sinais de Cena is a specialized journal in performing arts and theatre studies journal, published by the Centre for Theatre Studies (University of Lisbon), in collaboration with the Portuguese Association of Theatre Critics. Founded in 2004, the first series of the journal was directed by Maria Helena Serôdio, until 2014, and it was held by a group of theatre researchers and critics of different Portuguese and international institutions. The current series is edited by Orfeu Negro.
The call for papers for the new edition of the journal it is open until 30th September of 2018.
The sections “Thematic Section” and “Essays” are peer reviewed.
Calendar and other information:
The anonymous article should have a maximum of six thousand (6.000) words and the deadline for delivering is until 30 September 2018.
Authors will be notified by 15th October 2018.
Sinais de Cena. II.3 is due to be launch on April 2019.
The essay should be accompanied (in an extra sheet) by:
- Brief biographical note (maximum 250 characters).
- Abstract in a language other than that of the article (Portuguese, English, French or Spanish); maximum two hundred words.
- Five Keywords. The texts that do not match the publication norms will be excluded.
