The 4th session in the Encontros PERPHOTO 2020/21 cycle took place on 15th January. The photographer, Susana Paiva presented Anatomia de uma Imagem [Anatomy of an Image], her first performative project, which premiered in August 2019, at the Festival CITEMOR 2019. Together with the photographers and artists, Arlindo Pinto, Fernando Alves, Francisco Varela, Kátia Sá, Paula Arinto and Sofia Morais, Susana Paiva returned to this performative experience, proposing a discussion on the image’s relationship with theatre and performance, as well as with absence and presence.
As has become usual, the session took place via Zoom and was broadcast live on our Facebook page. Unlike previous streaming sessions, however, Anatomy of an Image offered different experiences depending on the platform chosen to watch the performance (Zoom or Facebook).
