This international meeting took place from 20th to 22nd June and brought together three research groups in theatre and interdisciplinary studies (the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of the University of Coimbra, the Centre for Theatre Studies of the University of Lisbon and l’Institut de Recherches en Études théâtrales at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3). The conference aimed to discuss nudity on stage – an apparent commonplace of contemporary theatre – not limiting this reflection to our time, but extending it to previous theatre practices, addressing it both from the point of view of the production and its textual materials.
