January 12th 2021 marked the launch of RAIA (Rede de Acolhimento à Investigação Artística) via Zoom. This is an informal network created to provide Theatre Studies students and CET researchers with a space for sharing and reflecting on their practical work. The idea is that at each RAIA Session, we have one or more works presented and/or put up for discussion.
In this inaugural session, researcher Fabiana Mercadante presented a performative lecture on the practical device she has been working on for her PhD. Her aim is to explore the effect of self-censorship mechanisms in the processes of performative creation (Censored bodies in performance).
RAIA aims to be a space where particular attention is given to the feedback process, so that it is developed to meet the needs of each research project. This aspect is particularly important in terms of transdisciplinarity, into which the study of the performing arts generally spreads, greatly benefiting from being arranged in a space that welcomes a multiplicity of perspectives. Participation is thus open to all who are interested in artistic research, in general, and in the specific themes of each meeting, in particular.
Those interested in participating should send an e-mail explaining their idea/project to estudos.teatro@letras.ulisboa.pt
