One more day

Cartaz

On March 24, Portugal has celebrated one more day in democracy than those lived in dictatorship, between the military rebellion of May 28 (1926) and the revolution of April 25, (1974). It is a symbolic day, which serves for a special program, committed to memory and that seeks to understand the different ways of telling the history. Between the 18th and 30th of April, São Luiz Theatre marks the date, in an initiative curated by Tiago Bartolomeu Costa, with conferences, talks, theatre and music shows, an exhibition, and 48 moments of affirmation and resistance to the regime linked to the history of São Luiz. It’s a project by São Luiz Teatro Municipal, co-produced with the National Theatre and Dance Museum, in cooperation with the Centre for Theatre Studies of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, and in partnership with Espaço Atlântida – Centre for the Study of the History of Reading and Fumaça, an investigative journalism podcast.
