Abstract: This project foresees the electronic edition of texts that constitute Fernando Pessoa’s “Trilogy of Giants”. The fragments, unpublished, will be subject to transcription, accurate revision and electronic editing. A computer application will be developed allowing users to view the images of the manuscripts, their respective transcriptions (diplomatic and up to date), the genetic apparatus, historical and contextualization notes, and adequate research fields. This will allow for a fundamental work to become available, a fact which will contribute to the further development of research within the scope of pessoan studies (being the pessoan theatre a very evident gap), but also for the study of the literary appropriation of the myth (of mythological facts and themes) in the pessoan work (and, by extension, in the twentieth-century theatre). The electronic edition will also allow free access to texts made available, both in Portugal and across borders, contributing to the dissemination of the poet’s work.
