The Seminar, “Teatro do Oprimido em Casa”, was held by the Degree Course in Theatre at Fluminense Federal Institute (IFF/RJ), in partnership with the Degree Course in Theatre at the Regional University of Cariri (URCA/CE), the PPGAC at the Federal University of Acre (UFAC). /AC) and CET (Ulisboa/Portugal).
The programme included lectures and roundtables, workshops, artistic presentations and papers. All activities were interpreted in LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language), in order to increase accessibility.
The themes of this edition of SETOCA were be “Solidarity Empathy Reinvention” and continued the reflections carried out since 2018, thus providing another reference moment for the Theatre of the Oppressed methodology. It also enabled the growth of research and extension, contributing to teaching in the collective search for concrete instruments to overcome current conditions, pointing to new inventions, guided by the theme-notions.
