The workshop is an immersion in the creative process of Cia. Caminho Velho from the point of view of the actor and the actress. Conducted by artist-researchers Carolina Erschfeld and Alex Araújo (Obs.cena, Universidade Federal de São Paulo) – the company’s artistic directors -, the workshop is specifically centered around a creative practice based on sensitivity as a way to expand the actor-actress/performer’s relationship with the dramaturgical text and, consequently, its scenic composition possibilities. Hosted by the acting studio O Canto do Bode, the workshop will also open the opportunity to share experiences, articulate differences, and reflect on the experimentation processes of both groups.
In a joint initiative between the Center for Theatre Studies (CET) and O Canto do Bode, the workshop is aimed at artists, students, teachers and researchers of the performing arts interested in knowing about and putting into practice some of the creative approaches and methods investigated by the invited Brazilian company and the Portuguese studio in the broader context of research on (and through) theatrical creation.
The workshop will happen on 26th and 27th of March, 2022 in O Canto do Bode.
