We are delighted to announce the publication of Issue 7.1, now available in open access here.
This launch is not limited to a new journal issue: it also marks the debut of the European Journal of Theatre and Performance’s new website, which includes the entire historical archive of the journal, with individual DOIs for each article. The launch process was, one might say, gradual, but we managed to complete it in time for our annual conference, held in September in London, where the academic community welcomed the project with great enthusiasm.
On behalf of Timmy De Laet and the entire journal team, we would like to thank everyone for their patience and collaboration over the past few months. Special thanks go to section convenors Rui Pina Coelho, Joana d’Eça Leal, José Pedro Sousa, and Aldo Milohnić, as well as guest editor Yana Meerzon, for their impeccable work. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to our visual designer Marta Anjos, whose talent made this achievement possible, and to Leonardo Mancini for his support in building the new website.
If you were unable to join us in London, there will be a second opportunity to raise a virtual glass with us during the online launch on 11 November 2025. During this virtual gathering, some contributors to the Essays section on the themes of Exile and (Neo)Nationalism will share a few words.
