The show, directed by a single actress, brings together a host of other characters to inhabit the stage, leading us as listeners and spectators to confront our narratives and beliefs with the points of view of different characters on a wide range of issues in our lives today.
The language is direct, transversal and intelligible to all segments of the audience and the scenic device is merely suggestive, allowing the spectator to create their own landscapes and go travelling to the places of some geographies and to that map, as vague as it is real, of the human emotions of each one of us.
Beethoven, in his genius and also in his fragility, is omnipresence made physical and intervening, being a therapy that triggers, moves and cares for the pain of each person, characters and audience, in this game of mirrors that is the relationship between stage and audience, where we project onto the pain of others what we so often hide from ourselves. Choosing one of the lines of work related to the staging of a great text by a contemporary author, this is a show by the Teatro Meridional that wants and declares that it wants to touch Joy.
