with Clara Amaral (NL/PT)
The Lab for Experimental Editorial Practices is intended to support the development of performative edition tools within the scope of academic research projects in close dialogue with an artistic practice. The Lab will be facilitated by Clara Amaral, an artist whose work has significantly contributed to expanding the forms of reading, writing and publishing connected with practice and research within the fields of performing arts. The Lab is aimed at researchers and/or artists currently pursuing a PhD in the Theatre and Performance Studies program at the University of Lisbon or in similar post-graduate research programs, whose practice-based research processes often require singular forms of occupying the page, specific graphic strategies and publication formats at the intersection of script, score, performance and archival functions. The Lab takes place in the aftermath of Clara Amaral’s book-performance presentation Ela Deu-me Eu Dela Recebi in Lisbon (16-20 October 2024, TBA, Teatro do Bairro Alto), Portuguese version of She gave it to me I got it from her (2021 TBA): https://teatrodobairroalto.pt/pt/evento/ela-deu-me-eu-dela-recebi
