In the context of the 9th edition of Práticas de Encontro [Practices of Encounter] programming cycle, the Center for Theatre Studies (CET/FLUL) and the acting studio O Canto do Bode invited the artist-researcher and educator Ana Kfouri to lead the workshop Mobile Foci. The meeting will promote the sharing of concepts and dynamics of the Mobile Foci practice, focused on the art of acting within the expanded field of performing arts, created and developed by Ana Kfouri throughout her artistic career. This practice articulates and interweaves various dynamics – technical exercises, body, voice, breathing, sensory dynamics, and speech dynamics – that aim to stimulate intensive creative processes, in addition to a whole technical apparatus for dealing with the materiality of language, working with performative rather than interpretive speech. The Mobile Foci practice can be understood as a training, a philosophy-inpractice, a thought-body, an art-life experience.
