On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Scarlatti and the 340th anniversary of the birth of Domenico Scarlatti, we intend to examine the context in which the Scarlatti family operated, attempting to reconstruct the dense map of their relationships with political and artistic realities. The international colloquium will be an opportunity to reflect on works, but also on biographies, production systems, international relations, and artistic strategies across the continent, from an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspective.
