A team of researchers from the Centre for Theatre Studies, coordinated by Rui Pina Coelho, was responsible for writing twenty-two entries on Portuguese stage directors (Amélia Rey Colaço, António Pedro, Araújo Pereira, Carlos Avilez, Fernanda Lapa, Gonçalo Amorim, Joana Craveiro, João Brites, João Garcia Miguel, João Lourenço, João Mota, Joaquim Benite, Jorge Silva Melo, Luís Miguel Cintra, Luzia Maria Martins, Maria do Céu Guerra, Mário Barradas, Nuno Cardoso, Nuno Carinhas, Pedro Penim, Ricardo Pais, Tiago Rodrigues) for the prestigious The Cambridge Encyclopedia of Stage Directors, edited by Maria M. Delgado and Simon Williams (2025).
