The term Digital Humanities has become generalised to designate a set of digital tools and methodologies for their use in the Humanities, which makes it possible to broaden the fields of research and necessarily their application in the context of teaching and learning. However, the concept and its application are still little known by most teachers.
The School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon (FLUL) is committed to developing this area of knowledge, in which there is already a lot of work carried out by the various Research Centres based there, and to broadening its application in terms of teaching and learning, for example through Continuous Teacher Training and the offer of Postgraduate Courses.
This course consists of 10 sessions (1 introductory session and 9 theoretical-practical sessions) in which Digital Humanities projects and resources developed by FLUL's research centres will be presented, aimed at recovering and disseminating Portuguese, European and global cultural heritage.
Date: June 30 to July 11
Venue: Online
Organisers: Santiago Pérez Isasi (CEComp), Daniel Carvalho (UNIArq), Francisco Melo Ferreira (CLEPUL), José Pedro Sousa (CET)
